Our tour route is a flat 1.58 miles and suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Tours run at 1 PM from Tuesday-Sunday.

Tours run rain or shine. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes as well as sunscreen if the sun is shining.

The combined food tastings provide enough for a hearty lunch.

Your guided Mexico City culinary adventure will begin just west of Avenida de los Insurgentes near the Plaza Villa de Madrid. From there, you will embark on a 3 hour walking food tour showcasing 6 mouthwatering food tasting locations featuring the best of the Colonia Roma culinary scene – one of the hippest neighborhoods in Mexico City. Tasting locations range from Mexican fusion foodie hot spots to traditional eateries preparing classic recipes using organic farm-to-table ingredients and specialty stores. You will experience interactions with friendly owners and staff to learn about Mexico’s food culture while supporting local businesses. At the end of your 3 hour foodie adventure you will have enjoyed the equivalent of a hearty lunch. The ticket price includes all food and drink tastings, as well as gratuities for restaurant staff.

Between tastings you will get a glimpse into day-to-day life in Mexico City as our expert local guides provide commentary on Colonia Roma’s fascinating past and present. You will learn about the neighborhood’s varied architectural gems and historic landmarks as you leisurely stroll shady, tree-lined streets. Our local guides will share their knowledge of culinary favorites, vibrant plazas, architectural standouts and exciting entertainment options to ensure you have a memorable experience on the premier food tour in Mexico City.

Your tour will begin just west of Avenida de Insurgentes near the circular Plaza Villa de Madrid where your guide will meet you. This plaza is easily identified by the Fuente de la Cibeles in the center of the traffic roundabout. After covering 1.58 miles the tour will end near Plaza Luis Cabrera.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance? Is cash accepted?

All tickets must be purchased from this website or by calling our ticketing partner, EzTix at the number on the website using Visa, MasterCard or AMEX. Ticket sales are cut-off at 4 PM the day prior for all tours.

By booking in advance you will increase the chances of getting the number of tickets, the date and the time desired. Walk-ups with cash will not be accepted.

What happens in case of bad weather?

The tour is held rain or shine. Please check the weather forecast in advance and dress appropriately. Please bring an umbrella, weather permitting. Tickets will not be refunded due to bad weather.

Does the tour have vegetarian options?

Colonia Roma Gourmet Foodie & Cultural Walking Tour: Yes, please notify us in advance at time of ticket purchase so we have time to arrange vegetarian requests with our restaurant partners.

Centro Histórico Taco Tour: This tour does not have vegetarian options so is not appropriate for vegetarians or those who do not eat pork and beef.

Condesa Taco Tour: Yes, this tour is vegetarian friendly but not vegan friendly.

Vegan Walking Food Tour: Yes.

Mezcal, Tacos & Tlayudas: This tour does not have vegetarian options so is not appropriate for vegetarians or those who do not eat pork and beef.

What should I bring with me?

You should wear comfortable shoes and bring a camera, sunscreen and an umbrella, weather permitting. An extra layer of clothing is recommended for cooler days. Most importantly, bring an appetite!

Can I take children on the tour?

Yes, children are welcome on all our tours except Mezcal, Tacos & Tlayudas, which has a minimum age requirement of 18. However, the tours will last 3 – 4 hours with lots of standing and walking so please keep this in mind. Parents must decide whether the tour is appropriate for their child.
